Everything you need to get the most out of Peer Aura, from your first room to the shortcuts worth memorising.
Sign up at peeraura.com and download the app for Windows.
Sign in and open a room. The overlay is invisible to screensharing from the moment it starts.
Generate a code and send it to your helper. They join from a browser, no account needed.
Stream your audio, send full-screen snapshots, and read their typed replies in real time.
The overlay is invisible to screenshare tools by default. It is not a toggle you can forget.
Ctrl+Shift+S sends your entire screen to your helper. Snapshots are manual and intentional, never automatic or partial.
Stream microphone and system audio so your helper hears the room. They reply by typing; no voice returns to you.
Ctrl+Shift+J routes your keystrokes to Peer Aura so you can reply without the page behind it seeing them. Your cursor stays put.
Ctrl+B hides the overlay so it sits lighter in your view. It changes what you see, not what the interviewer can.
The overlay floats above your interview tab at whatever opacity you choose.
Raise its opacity with Ctrl+], or use Ctrl+B to bring it fully back into your field of view.
Corporate VPNs and firewalls often block the live audio connection. Try a personal device on a home network. Snapshots and typed replies still work everywhere.
SmartScreen flags new publishers. Click More info, then Run anyway to continue the install.
You are solely responsible for how you use Peer Aura. Use it ethically and lawfully, and review our Terms.
Connections are peer-to-peer and encrypted. Audio and snapshots never touch our servers. Keep your room codes private.
